Go Deeper Into Every Module

How a single SKU hierarchy actually powers inventory, orders, pricing, targets, and reporting. It connects directly to distributor management, pricing management, distributor order management, and batch & expiry management.

Product Hierarchy, Variants & Catalog Management

Product Hub is the product master where every brand, category, product, and SKU lives. Every organization defines its own Brand → Category → Product → SKU structure; nothing about the depth or naming is hardcoded.

How It Works

  • Configure a Brand → Category → Product → SKU hierarchy per organization, for example a Titan setup: Fastrack Fragrance is the brand, Men/Women/Unisex are categories, Beat for Him and Pulse for Him are products, with 100 ml SKU variants underneath
  • Model the same hierarchy differently where it fits better, for example Apple → iPhone → a specific iPhone model → its SKUs, since depth and naming are fully configurable
  • Assign size, color, or configuration variants at SKU level, each with its own auto-generated SKU code, HSN/SAC code for GST, and independent Serial Number, Batch, and Expiry tracking toggles
  • Create products individually, or import SKUs, categories, brands, and units of measurement in bulk via Excel/CSV templates
  • Control product status, availability, and customer-specific catalog visibility from the same Product Hub

Why It Matters

  • One product master feeds inventory, pricing, orders, targets, and reporting, so a catalog change never needs re-entry elsewhere
  • No hardcoded hierarchy means the same system fits a cosmetics brand's size variants and a cement company's bag/tonne structure equally well
  • Bulk import keeps a multi-thousand-SKU catalog maintainable without one-by-one data entry

Unit of Measurement & Packaging Conversion

Units of measurement and their conversion factors sit underneath every product, so the same SKU can be ordered, stocked, and dispatched in whatever unit makes sense at each step.

How It Works

  • Use default units already configured in the system, or create custom ones such as Box, Packet, Piece, or Carton
  • Define a base unit and the conversion factor for every other unit against it, for example 1 box = 10 packets, 1 packet = 4 pieces
  • Allow decimal quantities for volume-based units where a fractional amount is valid
  • Reference a built-in conversion calculator while setting up packaging structures
  • Apply the same UOM conversions automatically during order-quantity calculations, so a distributor can order in boxes while the warehouse dispatches in pieces

Why It Matters

  • Field teams and warehouse staff work in whichever unit is natural to them, with no manual conversion math
  • Packaging structures like 1 box = 10 packets = 40 pieces stay consistent across ordering, inventory, and dispatch
  • Decimal support covers volume-based categories like paints, chemicals, or bulk commodities that boxes-and-pieces logic doesn't fit

SKU-Level Inventory, Batch Tracking & Auto Replenishment

Every SKU carries its own live inventory position, down to batch and expiry detail where batch management is enabled, and the system can reorder stock on its own before it runs out.

How It Works

  • View total SKUs, inventory value, in-transit stock, and current stock levels, SKU-wise, from one inventory screen
  • Enable batch management per SKU to track batch-level stock with FIFO (First In First Out) or FEFO (First Expiry First Out) allocation
  • Move stock between warehouses with transfer workflows, and reconcile stock through adjustment workflows
  • Configure a minimum stock level at SKU level; once stock drops below it, the system can generate a replenishment order automatically
  • Route replenishment either straight through or via an approval workflow, sourced from the company or the super stockist depending on distribution hierarchy

Why It Matters

  • SKU-wise visibility, not just warehouse-wise, catches slow movers and stockouts that an aggregate stock number would hide
  • FEFO allocation on batch-tracked SKUs reduces expiry write-offs automatically, without a manual pick-list review
  • Auto-replenishment at SKU level catches low stock the moment it crosses the threshold, not at the next manual stock review

Order Placement, Pricing & Target Integration

The same product catalog drives every order: stock, pricing, schemes, and credit are all checked against it the moment an order is placed, and products carry their own sales targets.

How It Works

  • Search and select products from the catalog during order placement, with quantity entered in whichever UOM the customer orders in
  • Check real-time stock availability against warehouse inventory, and auto-apply product-wise pricing from the relevant price list
  • Apply batch allocation with FIFO/FEFO logic at dispatch, and auto-apply product or category-level schemes where configured
  • Configure product-wise pricing within each price list, including geography-based rates (a product may sell for ₹100 in North India and ₹150 in South India) and customer-type rates for super stockist vs. distributor vs. retailer, falling back to default pricing when no special price list applies
  • Set product-based, category-level, or volume-based sales targets, with achievement counted on order placement, dispatch, or invoice generation, and bulk-upload targets via templates with dynamic columns

Why It Matters

  • Stock, pricing, scheme, and credit checks happening together at order entry catch problems before they become invoice disputes
  • Geography- and customer-type-based pricing on the same SKU master means one catalog serves very different trade terms without duplicate product records
  • Targets linked directly to products, not just to salespeople, surface which SKUs are actually driving achievement
Order Pricing & Targets

Mobile Catalog, GRN & Returns at Product Level

Field teams carry the same product catalog on their phones, and incoming stock or product returns are tracked down to the individual SKU, not just the overall order.

How It Works

  • Browse the full product catalog, check SKU-level stock, and place orders with correct UOM and pricing directly from the mobile app
  • See top-selling SKUs, target vs. achievement, and weekly/monthly sales trends on the app dashboard, with PDF order generation and an AI Assistant for product queries
  • Track GRN (Goods Receipt Note) at product level for distributors and super stockists, validating ordered quantity against received quantity and assigning the receiving warehouse
  • Process returns by selecting specific products from an order with a captured return reason, for example a ₹100 order with ₹50 of damaged stock returned generates a ₹50 credit note after approval
  • Handle returns at retailer, distributor, or super stockist level, with GST-compliant return documentation throughout

Why It Matters

  • Field visibility that matches the admin catalog exactly means there's never a mismatch between what's quoted in the field and what's actually in stock
  • Product-level GRN and returns tracking catches discrepancies at the SKU that caused them, instead of at the order as a whole
  • Credit notes generated straight from a product-level return keep accounts reconciled without a manual finance step
GRN & Returns

Click a row: every field here is a real column from the actual GRN & Returns screens.

Product Analytics & Reporting

26+ configurable reports and real-time dashboards track product performance, inventory movement, and target achievement at SKU level, with every export shared across the team.

How It Works

  • Track product-wise sales, SKU-level order volume, category-wise distribution, and top-selling or slow-moving SKUs
  • Monitor SKU-wise stock levels, batch-wise inventory, expiry/FEFO status, stock transfer history, and replenishment status across warehouses
  • Review product target vs. achievement reports, with achievement logs showing exactly which orders contributed
  • View dashboard KPIs and charts for the last 30 days by default, covering top products, revenue, category distribution, and order status
  • Export any report to CSV; exports are cached in a dedicated Exports section for 7 days so the whole team can reuse the same export without regenerating it

Why It Matters

  • Inventory, sales, and target reports built on the same SKU master means the numbers reconcile with each other by construction
  • A 7-day export cache stops the system from regenerating the same heavy report repeatedly for every team member who needs it
  • Slow-moving SKU and expiry reports surface catalog problems early enough to act on, not after a write-off

Frequently Asked Questions

What Is SKU Management Software?▾

SKU management software helps businesses manage their complete product catalog with a configurable Brand → Category → Product → SKU hierarchy, unit of measurement conversions, product variants, and SKU-level inventory tracking. It acts as the centralized product master across orders, pricing, inventory, and reporting.

How Does the Product Hierarchy Work?▾

The product hierarchy follows a Brand → Category → Product → SKU structure. For example, in a Titan setup, Fastrack Fragrance is the brand, Men/Women/Unisex are categories, Beat for Him and Pulse for Him are products, with specific SKU codes and sizes such as 100 ml variants defined underneath. This structure differs from brand to brand, so there's no hardcoded approach.

How Does UOM Management Work in the System?▾

There's a conversion calculator for reference. Some default units already exist in the system, and users can create new ones. Conversion factors are defined, for example one box contains 10 packets and one packet contains 4 pieces. If Piece is the base unit and Box is another unit, the system defines how many base units equal one box. Decimal places can also be allowed for volume-based quantities, and these conversions are used during order placement calculations.

Can Products Be Imported in Bulk?▾

Yes, all SKUs can be managed through imports or individually. The Product Hub supports bulk product upload via Excel/CSV templates as well as individual product creation and editing. Products, categories, brands, and units of measurement are all manageable from the centralized product master.

Does the System Support SKU-Level Inventory Tracking?▾

Yes, the inventory screen gives a complete overview including total SKUs, inventory value, in-transit stock, and current stock levels SKU-wise. If batch management is enabled, batch details are also visible. Batch-enabled inventory supports FIFO (First In First Out) and FEFO (First Expiry First Out) allocation logic.

How Does Auto Stock Replenishment Work at SKU Level?▾

Minimum stock levels are configured at SKU level. For example, if a minimum of 5 units should always be available, as soon as stock drops below 5, the system can automatically place a replenishment order from the company or super stockist depending on the hierarchy. The replenishment order can either proceed directly or go through an approval workflow.

Can Product-Wise Pricing Be Configured?▾

Yes, while creating a price list, product-wise pricing is configured along with validity dates and status. A product may sell for ₹100 in North India and ₹150 in South India, and super stockists may get one rate while distributors get another. If no special price list is available, default product pricing is applied automatically during order placement.

Does the Product Master Software Support Product-Based Targets?▾

Yes, the system supports product-based targets including specific product sales targets, category-level sales targets, and volume-based targets. Achievement can be counted on order placement, on dispatch, or on invoice generation. Targets can be created for individual users or uploaded in bulk through templates with dynamic columns.

What Product Analytics and Reports Are Available?▾

The system includes 26+ default reports covering product performance, top-selling SKUs, SKU-level inventory, batch and expiry tracking, and target achievement. Reports can be filtered by warehouse, brand, status, or custom parameters and exported in CSV format, with exports cached for 7 days for team-wide access.

Is the Product Catalog Management Software Cloud-Based?▾

Yes, the product catalog management software is cloud-based and accessible through web and mobile applications. Field teams can browse product catalogs, check stock availability, and place orders with correct UOM conversions from the mobile app, with the AI Assistant available for conversational catalog and stock lookups on both platforms.
